My name is Miss Orefice and this is my second year teaching Kindergarten at CIP! I am excited for the year ahead as I have many fun things planned. I graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2013 in early childhood education. Before graduating I was fortunate to student teach in a wonderful Kindergarten classroom in the Bristol Warren School District. It was in this classroom where I fell in love with Kindergarten. Since then I have worked as a long-term substitute in several different positions as a math interventionist, first grade teacher, and reading specialist. I couldn't be more excited to be teaching Kindergarten as a first year teacher.
When I am not busy in my classroom, I love to spend time with my family and friends! I love to read a good book either on the beach in the summer or snuggled under a million blankets in the winter. I love going out to dinner and being active. Although, in my free time I am constantly thinking about my students and all the exciting things I get to teach them.
As a new teacher, I think it's important my students know I am learning right alongside them. Together we are going through an amazing journey that will bring us new knowledge and achievement in the future.
